The importance of experience

If you’re buying/selling a house, understand that the agent you choose will be a huge determining factor in if the deal closes and how easily the deal progresses. Truth is, the marketing of the house or finding the house is the easiest part. There are exceptions to that, of course, but in general even the greenest agent can get your house under contract or find you something to buy. The rubber hits the road after that. Stuff just happens - nearly always. There is a problem with the loan. A title issue comes up. The other side starts trying to jerk you around or lie. A seasoned, experienced agent has seen it already and knows what to do. They have vendors and solutions that you don’t. Newer agents are still great to work with, but make sure they have a mentor or broker they are close to that they can closely work with for guidance.
