Own your own data!

At the beginning of the year, we always see a surge of real estate agents moving brokerages. Unfortunately, a lot of them don’t realize that their real estate brokerage owns their data when they keep their data with their brokerage. One of the reasons your real estate brokerage offers a CRM and custom email is because they can forevermore have access to that data. In this day and age, data is king. All your leads, files, emails, etc, when added to the brokerage CRM and email, are ultimately owned by that real estate brokerage.

You are your own business. Your brokerage is the place you hang your real estate license. You pay them a significant chunk of money for the perks they offer, but you still need to protect yourself.

Use your own custom email and your own CRM so that if you leave that brokerage some day, you will still have access to and control of your data.
